What is not art

Video game screenshots should be very detailed drawn. This is almost like the first video games that came out and their graphics were really cheaply drawn. This lacks detail, it doesn't have much of a outline when created and is dull to look at. Video game art is  cartoonish but really 3-D to make the graphics stand out more and is appealing to the viewer

This is art

Video game cover art and screen shots are art. Why? Because the art is drawn 3-D just like when you play the video game. Video game cover art is really cool because now in most games that are either fantasy, fighting, war, etc. are more 3-D compared to the past games in which their covers were drawings of cartoons.

Artist Statement

For my con image which I started first, I had to find a huge background image to give it
detail. My con image was about egg production in California, that if the proposition passes, the producers will have to move to another state.  The choices was putting images of eggs in the hen house to represent eggs being produced from hens in cages. I also put a farmer who looked tired
and concerned thinking if prop 2 passed, he will have to move. Last thing was typing out the message in lime green, choosing a certain font. If the font was in a dark color, it wouldn't be clear
for readers to see. For my pro image, I found an images of animals grazing which meant that animals deserve open space rather than being confined. The choices I made was find a background image, then find images of animals, specifically, 1 cow, 2 pigs, and 4 goats.  This actually shows how other animals are together grazing in wide open space. I wanted the audience to know both sides of prop 2, putting a dissatisfied farmer on my con image actually shows the negative side of prop 2. For the pro side, putting a wide open grazing field with animals happy will make the audience think that prop 2 should be passed.
The photoshop techniques I used was, after finding background image for both pro and con I found pictures of animals to make those pro and con images.  What I did was not the eraser, but it was the select and delete method. By doing that to my chosen images, it took me a lot of time to take out the background of the images without cutting out part of them.
I chose my images by looking and using google images. By using google images, I took my time. I first had to find background images to represent pro and con of prop 2. After choosing background images, I then go back to google and look at images of animals, afterwards use the images of animals from google, deleting their backgrounds on photoshop and then putting it on the background images.  I change the size of the images to make them look real to the audience.
I expressed the moods and feelings to the image by starting off with my con image. By putting a concerned farmer in the image, this will present the idea that prop 2 has its negative side which is if it passes, then he will have to move somewhere else where animal cruelty is allowed. For my pro image, I put in a cow, 2 pigs, and 4 goats, with other animals all grazing together in wide open space. This will show the positive side of prop 2. You may not see the fencing, it can look invisible, but this shows animals have space to move around
